10808 - DETECTOR Z21 (RailCom®)
To automate the system, it is necessary to install a well-functioning feedback system.
The main function of the Z21 DETECTOR is the occupancy report by monitoring the current of 8 track sections. This basic function is possible via R-BUS and CAN. This means that the 10808 can be used on the black Z21, as well as on the white Z21 and Z21start.
The address of the occupancy sensor can be easily set using the integrated programming button. The status of each input is displayed with its own status LED.
The CAN bus of the black Z21 offers even more:
- Locomotive identification with RailCom® Local Detector on each of the 8 inputs simultaneously. This means that you always know which locomotive is in which section.
- The RailCom® Local Detector also makes it possible to read POM via CAN in amplifier sections where a RailCom break is created, but there is no RailCom® Global Detector in the amplifier itself. This is the case, for example, with the Z21 Light BOOSTER tube.
- Convenient configuration of response behavior, current thresholds, RailCom® settings and address can be done using the Z21 maintenance tool.
- Firmware updates for future features are also easily and conveniently possible using the Z21 Maintenance Tool .
