In the middle phase of World War II, most German military vehicles struggled to provide adequate support for troops, so the N-type tank was built to help solve this problem. The N-type tank replaced its main Marder III battery with a 7.5cm gun that could fire high-explosive shells. From June 1942 to August 1943, the existing J, L and M models also received these upgrades and 663 tanks were fitted, with another 37 upgraded later in 1944. These tanks appeared on the battlefield in the summer of 1942, along with highly explosive shells, and proved highly effective in their role of reinforcing ground troops. They were deployed in newly organized heavy tank battalions to make up for the shortage of Tiger I tanks. As a support tank, the N-type was easy to operate and very reliable, and fought on many fronts in the second half of World War II.

The gun barrel is made of precision aluminum, and etchings on the grill enhance the tank's detail. The 7.5 cm cannon consists of two parts. The charging area is accurately reproduced. On the left and right sides of the turret are parts for the smoke launcher. The set includes two types of commander figures, as well as four sets of markings for the Russian and African fronts.
