The Hawker Tempest was a fighter aircraft used by the Royal Air Force during World War II. Based on another British aircraft, the Hawker Typhoon, the Tempest was mainly used against German V-1 rockets, ground attack support and the destruction of German railroads. The Tempest was eventually transformed into the Hawker Sea Fury, which was part of the Royal Navy.
