DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System for the 1911 5" Pistol "Sleeve Only" 9 mm / .40 S&W / .45 ACP
The Mechanical Recoil Reduction System is a direct replacement for the standard recoil rod and does not alter the pistol’s configuration. This system operates via a multi-spring rod (3 springs) and controls the pistol’s operation. The third spring, located inside the rod, controls the slide’s movement, preventing it from striking the frame.
The system includes 1 spring base, 3 springs, and 3 different outer springs.
The adjustable spring provides varying buffer force (in the fully open position), while the external springs only adjust the slide in the closed position (slid over the battery).

The set also includes detailed assembly instructions. The external springs vary in length—the longer spring is heavier, and the shorter one is lighter, allowing the shooter to precisely adjust the pistol’s open and closed positions (slide on the battery) according to their preferences.
