The DPM Mechanicam recoil reducer is a direct replacement for the standard recoil reduction rod and does not require any modifications to the pistol.

The system works through a multi-spring complex rod (three springs) and controls the gun's action. The third spring, located in the rod, controls the movement of the breech, preventing it from striking the frame.
The system contains 1 spring pin and 3 different external springs. The spring pin must always be installed when the rod and DPM recoil springs are used.
The external springs differ in length, the longer spring is heavy and the short spring is light. This allows the shooter to precisely position the gun in the opening and locking positions (by moving it on the battery).
