Eemann Tech's "CLASSIC MAJOR" recoil spring calibration kit for 1911/2011 pistols and their clones with 5" barrels, according to IPSC rules.

The "CLASSIC MAJOR" package includes:

  • ET-111335 / 15 lbs - 1 pc.
  • ET-111336 / 16 lbs - 1 pc.
  • ET-111337 / 17 lbs - 1 pc.
  • ET-111338 / 18 lbs - 1 pc.

Progressive springs differ from regular springs in that they have a decreasing distance between coils, counting from the center of the spring to the last coil.

Under pressure, the spring works in two phases:

Phase 1: The first half of the spring, with identical spacing between the coils, begins to compress.
Phase 2: When the first half is fully compressed, the second half, with reduced coil spacing, begins to compress.
Each coil increases the compression force of the spring. Full compression provides maximum resistance and reduces the recoil impulse.
