A true innovation in holster design, the DAA MAX holster is the result of decades of competition experience and over a year of development. We set out with the intention of creating the best possible Closed Body Competition holster, one that would meet the legal requirements of all USPSA divisions without compromising adjustability or performance.
The DAA MAX holster hanger is made of aluminum and steel to create a strong and rigid hanger that will hold the holster in place - while allowing for a wide range of adjustability. The central ball joint assembly can slide up or down a pair of stainless steel rods, providing shooters with a wide range of height adjustment. The ball joint allows the holster to be tilted and rotated to the desired position and locks it firmly in place using the same tried and tested clamp design borrowed from the Alpha-X Race holster. A large M6 locking bolt is accessible when the holster is worn, allowing you to adjust the holster/pistol's position when it's on your body.
A lower, rounded thigh pad provides comfort and support for long day use.
The retention adjustment of the DAA MAX holster is truly innovative.
Most closed-body holsters press down on the weapon to adjust retention. This solution is simple, but not ideal, as it quickly leads to wear marks on the gun and often does not allow sufficient "mid-range" retention adjustment. These holsters are often too loose or too tight...
The DAA MAX holster uses a completely different solution: the injection-molded body of the holster does not clamp down on the gun, but fits to it with minimal clearance. Retention is achieved with spring-loaded, fully adjustable roller clips that hook onto the front end of the trigger guard. They secure the weapon and provide the user with a wide range of tension adjustment.
The DAA MAX holster is available for many popular weapon models and in a variety of colors. (for right-handed shooters only)
The 1911/2011 model includes adjustment features designed to make the holster body compatible with all 1911 and 2011 pistols. The adjustment allows the rollers to be moved up or down to ensure good contact with the different types of trigger guards these pistols have, as well as adjusting the height of the breech to the tactical rail. The CZ model is designed for the Shadow2, but it also works well with the SP01, TS2 and most other CZ pistols. It is also a perfect fit for the Tanfoglio Stock-II.
The Tanfoglio Stock-III model is actually a modified CZ body that has been adapted to fit the slightly taller Stock-III tactical lock/rail.
The Glock model is modeled for the G34 Gen 5, but works well with most Glocks (including the Glock 17 and MOS 41). It is not compatible with Glocks with wider locks, such as the G21 and G22.
The SIG P320 fits all P320 pistols: P320 MAX, P320 X5/Legion, P320RXP , P320 XFULL, etc.
Note: Max Holster is designed for use on sports belts with a width of 1.5".
