Humbrol's varnishes are designed to be applied over paint for protection and reinforcement. Humbrol offers varnishes with finishes:gloss, satin and matte - each has a specific application.
Application: a solvent-based varnish that becomes transparent and dries clear, overcoming the yellowing effect associated with traditional varnishes.
Substrate: common plastics used for model kits, including polystyrene and ABS, as well as MDF.
Performance: depending on application and layer thickness.
Application: brush or airbrush. Dilute appropriately when airbrushing using Humbrol enamel thinner.
Drying time: surface dry within 1 hour. Completely dry after 24 hours. Drying times will vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity. Paint again after 24 hours.
Cleaning method: brush - use Humbrol Enamel Thinners Airbrush - rinse thoroughly using Humbrol Enamel Thinners.
