During World War II, the German army used semi-tracked vehicles that guaranteed high mobility in all environmental conditions and on all types of terrain, for various purposes, through dedicated versions and configurations. The Sd.Kfz. 10/4 was to use a FlaK 30 cal. 20mm anti-aircraft cannon mounted on a reinforced platform. It was used to protect moving troops and convoys of tanks and vehicles from low-altitude enemy air attacks. It could accommodate up to 8 soldiers and was a good solution for providing direct air protection to ground troops. It was also often used to support infantry operations, attacking ground defense installations with its 20mm cal. cannon.
