The SU-122 is a Soviet medium self-propelled howitzer built on the basis of the T-34 tank and armed with the 122-millimeter M-30S gun. Production began in early 1943 and lasted until mid-1944, when it was replaced by the more effective SU-85. The vehicle was one of the first self-propelled guns developed in the USSR to enter large-scale production. A total of 1,150 SU-122s were produced
