TheConcorde is a supersonic passenger aircraft with turbojet engines, produced in cooperation between France and Britain.

Work on the construction of two prototypes began in February 1965 (copy 001 was built by Aerospatiale in Toulouse, and the other with the number 002 by BAC in Filton. The first flight took place on March 2, 1969, with Andre Turcata at the controls of Concorde 001, and the speed of sound was exceeded on October 1. Many airlines were eager to purchase the aircraft, but due to unfavorable factors including the fuel crisis, financial problems of the carriers, the noise generated during takeoff with afterburner and air pollution during flight led to the aircraft being purchased only by Air France and British Airways. Twenty were produced between 1973 and 1979, and were withdrawn from service on October 24, 2003.

The technical data was impressive: cruising speed of 2150 km/h, top speed of 2270 km/h, ceiling of 18,300 meters, takeoff weight of 185,550 kg (the tanks held 96,271 kg of fuel), and range was 7250 km.
