Range Rover mid-range SUV passenger car (then in the upper and luxury classes) produced under the British Land Rover brand from 1970 to the present day.
Range Rover I was first shown in 1970, while the idea itself was born in the late 1940s, and work on the first generation began in 1966 (both units came from BMW).
The Range Rover III was presented in 2001 with engines: a 4.4-liter gasoline V8 with 286 horsepower and a 2.9-liter R6 diesel with 177 horsepower.
From 2005, the engines were replaced by power units from Jaguar's 4.4-liter V8, but with a higher output of 306 horsepower, and a 4.2-liter supercharged V8 making 396 horsepower.
