Swedish Regal Warship Vasa - a model of the legendary Swedish warship.
Named after the Swedish royal dynasty, theVasa ship was commissioned in 1625 during the reign of King Gustav II Adolf as the flagship of the Baltic fleet. Measuring 69 meters in length and equipped with 72 guns, the ship was one of the most impressive warships of its time. The magnificent ship was decorated with more than 700 gilded carvings. Tragically, Vasa sank during its maiden voyage in Stockholm harbor on August 10, 1628. It was rescued 333 years later and can now be admired at the Vasa Museum in Stockholm.
