The PZL W-3 Sokol is a contemporary Polish multirole helicopter from PZL Swidnik.
The flight of the first prototype with the factory number 300102 took place on November 16, 1979, it was only a hover over the ground. Due to the political situation, further development of the machine was halted. On the other hand, a "full" flight was made on the third prototype with factory number 300103 on May 6, 1982(crew consisting of pilot Mercik and pilot Dabski). Produced in many variants since 1986, and the machine can now be seen in the skies of such countries as Poland, the Czech Republic, Mjamma, the Philippines, Algeria, South Korea, Germany, Uganda, Spain, Nigeria, Russia, Israel, Italy, Vietnam, Iraq and Croatia.
