Hawker Hurricane British fighter aircraft designed and manufactured at Hawker Aircraft from the Second World War (played a significant role during the Battle of Britain).
The prototype with a 900 hp engine was flown on November 6, 1935,and the first order for 600 aircraft was placed by the British Air Force on June 4, 1936, a day later the aircraft was officially named Hurricane (translated as Hurricane) and was publicly unveiled at Hedon.
The Hurricane was a low-wing aircraft of metal construction with partial canvas covering, unfortunately it was already technologically obsolete at the time of its introduction into production. It was produced from 1937 to 1945, and more than 14,000 copies in various versions "rolled off the line."
