Supermarine Spitfire - a single-seat British World War II fighter aircraft. The design was created in 1935 and was modified until February 1948. The first flight took place on March 5, 1936, and in 1937 series production of the Mk.I version began.
The last version to be produced was the Mk 24 - Type 356.
A total of 20,351 were produced between 1937 and 1948, including 1,556 of the Mk.I version.
