The Airbus C295 is a medium tactical transport aircraft that was designed and initially produced by the Spanish aerospace company CASA, which is now part of the European international division of Airbus Defence and Space. The aircraft is still produced today at aerospace plants in Seville, Spain, and in Indonesia (Indonesian Aerospace company).
Work on the aircraft began in the 1990s, the prototype made its first flight on November 28, 1997, and mass production began a short while later.
The application of the aircraft is versatile, serving as a tactical transporter, performing such tasks as parachute and cargo drops, intelligence via electronic signals, medical evacuation, maritime patrol and for many other applications.
