WEST System is based on a versatile two-component epoxy resin, the properties of which can be modified with a number of fillers, additives and reinforcements. The system is designed for the construction and repair of boats made of polyester-glass laminate, wood and steel, but due to its great versatility it is also used in many other fields.
The WEST System was developed in the USA in the late 1960s and early 1970s by the Gougeon brothers, and since then it has been continuously improved, more experience has been accumulated and new constructions have been created using it. This causes the WEST System to be the best developed and most popular epoxy system in the world today.
