OLFA 28 mm ROTARY KNIFE (RTY-1/C)

OLFA model RTY-1/C - a comfortable round cutter.

Knife with a rotating blade with a diameter of 28mm. For cutting materials in multiple layers, along straight lines and along small curves. The small diameter of the blade allows easier cutting of curves. A PRB28 blade can also be mounted to the knife for cutting perforated lines. To reduce the danger of injury, the knife is equipped with a retractable blade guard.

The new model allows the blade to be replaced more easily than before. The blade is released in one movement - by sliding the blade locking slide, located on the reverse side of the handle. The blade then falls out under its own weight.

The circular knife is a proven tool for cutting fabric, knitwear, leather, film, paper. Highly valued among amateurs sewing patchworks due to the fact that cutting with a pulley knife is much faster and more accurate than with scissors, you can cut several layers of material with it at the same time. The cut material lies flat on the mat all the time, so you can lay a die-cut, template or ruler on it and cut along them.

Cutting with a disc knife is only possible on a backing mat. The blade is made of hard tungsten steel and attempting to cut on any other backing will damage it quickly.

Used blades can also be dangerous - before throwing them away, protect them using, for example, containers in which new blades are delivered, or use special containers DC-2 and DC-4. Keep OLFA knives and blades out of reach of children !
