Generally, Revell Aqua Color paints can be diluted with water so that they can be sprayed. However, diluting Aqua Color Mix has two advantages:
On the one hand, the drying of the paint is delayed: this prevents the paint from drying too quickly in the spray gun and on the substrate.
On the other hand, this thinner also optimizes spray results on the model. Aqua Color Mix reduces unwanted edge alignment during paint application, especially for matte and semi-matte shades.
Recommended mixing ratio: 3-4 parts color to 1 part Aqua Color Mix. Since the mixing ratio largely depends on the spray gun used and the working pressure of the compressor, the paint should be diluted less and tested. If the spray gun splashes or the paint dries too quickly on the model (rough surface), simply dilute a little more.
