New 2023 in Piko: Electric locomotive EU07 PKP IC VI.
Original:
In the 1950s, the Polish Railways greatly accelerated the electrification of major routes and purchased suitable electric locomotives. Initially, due to little experience in building electric vehicles , PKP was condemned to foreign designs, but locomotives were mostly built under license in Poland. As a development of the licensed EU06 locomotive, the universal EU07 series was created in the early 1960s, also based on a British design, which, together with its subtypes, became the most numerous family of four-axle electric locomotives in Poland.
