EU43 (Adtranz 112E) is a multi-system electric locomotive manufactured at Adtranz and built between 1997 and 2003 (a total of 28 units were built).
EU43 was designed to run high-speed express trains and heavy freight trainsets.
In 1996 Polish railroads ordered 8 dual-system electric locomotives, the first 3 were produced in Italy and tested on the test track in Zmigrod. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, the order was not realized.
