EP09 PKP IV locomotive + DSS PluX22
Novelty 2025: In the late 1980s, PKP needed a new series of locomotives capable of meeting the requirements of continuous transport at 160 km/h for high-speed passenger services between Warsaw and Krakow. The EP05-series locomotives, converted from EU05 since 1973, were limited in number and aging. Therefore, Pafawag designed a new type of 104E locomotive in Wroclaw. The machines met expectations to such an extent that PKP acquired another 45 machines by 1997. EP09 locomotives were used throughout the country and almost completely replaced EP05 locomotives.
