New in Piko 2024: SM31 in prototype color scheme and PKP printing in epoch IV. The 1:1 scale design beautifully recreates the locomotive's massive proportions, while offering enough room for the finest details. The sculptural engraving on the front end, the fine openwork fan grille that provides a view of the inside of the rotating fan, the individually attached handles and the finest metal handrails will delight even the most discerning model railroad enthusiasts. Inside, PIKO's new design also keeps its hand on the pulse of the times. The locomotive comes pre-equipped with a PluX22 interface, making digitizing a breeze for any model railroad enthusiast. It is equally easy to retrofit it with a sound decoder and a speaker with maximum diaphragm area, which combine to provide an optimal sound experience. With a variety of lighting features, such as driver's desk lighting and shunting lights, PIKO's new model offers extensive digital play, which is complemented by smooth operation and ample pulling power.
