The SOF – 1/2"-28 UNEF compensator was designed for AR15 platforms to improve weapon control in challenging operational conditions. It significantly reduces recoil and muzzle rise, providing better control and accuracy—especially during rapid fire and dynamic engagements.
The closed bottom prevents dust from being kicked up when firing from a prone position, and the geometry of the vent holes directs gases upward and to the sides, maintaining barrel stability. The device, made of high-strength hardened steel, is designed to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical stresses.
A key feature is the front-integrated spiked breaching element, enabling forced entry through doors or barriers during CQB operations. The A2-compatible interface allows for the attachment of NATO QD suppressors, such as the B&T Rotex V or Steyr UMS.
