The SCS Green Dot collimator from Holosun is a compact sight dedicated to Walther PDP 2.0 pistols. The collimator sight makes aiming easier, which is why it is readily used by sport shooters and hunters. The collimator has a low-profile base, which provides access to fixed aiming instruments.
The device is equipped with modern technology
The new-generation Solar Failsafe™ power system, was first introduced in the SCS PDP model, and does not require inserting batteries for operation. The collimator has an internal long-life battery, charged by a solar panel. The power consumption of the LED is at the microA level, and under normal lighting conditions the collimator is powered solely by the solar panel. When used in low-light conditions, an internal battery helps power the LED.
The collimator sight is equipped with the Multi-Reticle System™ (MRS), which allows the user to select the type of aiming point - a classic 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle or a combination of the two. All dots are displayed using a single LED, so there is no need to reset them after changing shape. The collimator has 12 levels of aiming point brightness settings - 10 normal for daytime operation and 2 adapted for use with night vision devices. The Solar Failsafe System is also responsible for automatically adjusting the intensity of the dot, adapting it optimally to the ambient light. As with the power supply, it does not matter whether the light falling on the cell is natural or artificial.
The viewfinder is equipped with a system of advanced lenses, multi-coated with reflective coatings. This solution made it possible to achieve excellent transmission of visible light. The image visible through the lens is clear, bright and without parallax.
Collimator housing adapted to operate in the harshest conditions
To achieve the highest strength of the housing while keeping the weight low, the collimator housing was made of titanium. This guarantees extraordinary mechanical resistance and makes the device suitable not only for sport shooting, but also for functioning in difficult terrain. The PDP mounting system allows the collimator to be easily attached to Walther PDP 2.0 pistols.
The entire unit is packaged in an aesthetically pleasing and durable plastic box.
