Regular maintenance of the suppressor is the best way to ensure optimal performance. The problem arises when the suppressor has an unseparable design, which obviously makes it difficult to access narrow sections. In such a situation, it is worth using Ballistol professional muffler cleaner, which effectively dissolves, removes and rinses away all lingering impurities. The preparation does not contain acids, is odorless, neutral for most materials, has a surface-active action.

Silencers with disassembled construction - after disassembling the silencer, its elements are immersed in the cleaning agent and left for about 2 hours (standard dirt). After this time, using a soft brush and water, remove the dirt. Ballistol muffler cleaner can also be used for cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Silencers of non-extractable design -plugthe silenceron one side tightly, then fill it with Ballistool cleaner and leave it for 2 hours. Standard dirt dissolves after about 2 hours. After this time, we remove the cleaner from the muffler, fill it halfway with warm water, plug the outlets again and shake vigorously. After cleaning, it is recommended to use a muffler surface preservative. For extremely dirty mufflers, the duration of the agent can be extended up to 24 hours.
Note: Before applying the cleaner properly, test its reaction with the muffler material in an inconspicuous place. A change in the color of the cleaner is a normal phenomenon, signaling the dissolution and neutralization of dirt.
