RMS Queen Mary 2 is a transatlantic British liner built in France, launched on December 1, 2002, and commissioned on January 12, 2004. Construction took 22 months and cost $900 million.
This "colossus" is 345 meters long, 41 meters wide and 72 meters high (18 decks). It has 4 common-rail diesel engines and 2 gas turbines. The ship can accommodate 2695 passengers and 1253 crew members. On board, passengers can enjoy a theater, a cinema, a library, several restaurants, bars, cafes, the world's only floating planetarium, a disco and a casino. Some of the components for this ship were manufactured in Poland.
