The Dodge WC range of military transport vehicles was widely produced by American industry during World War II. The development of the WC 51-52 series was aimed at creating a lightweight four-wheel-drive "utility vehicle" with high reliability in all conditions of use and good transportation capabilities. The project was extremely right and, along with the famous ¼-ton "Jeep" Willys, the Dodge WC ¾-ton "Beeps" was the most widely produced vehicle in American factories during World War II and contributed significantly to the logistical needs of the US military on various fronts. The Dodge vehicle, thanks to its good payload of almost 700 kg, which could be increased by using rear "trailers", was produced in many versions and with various configurations: platform, open cab, troop transport, ammunition and armament. In detail, the WC-56 version was designed for service, communications and transport tasks.
