Grunau Baby glider (static construction model - half mock-up) in KIT version, laser-cut from 3 mm thick plywood for self-assembly. After assembling the model, we recommend painting with clear varnish (the dark color of the edges of the sides of the ribs and frames is the result of laser cutting, so before assembling the model you can sand these elements with the included sandpaper). A perfect decoration for our apartment, modeling studio or office. Not only a modeler, but any aviation enthusiast will probably be happy with such a gift.

Technical data:

  • span: 1350 mm
  • length: 620 mm
  • height: 160 mm
  • weight: 240 g
  • scale: 1/10

Included:

Did you know that:

The Grunau Baby glider was designed and built in 1931 by Edmund Schneider in Grunau (today's Jeżów Sudecki). It was a very simple wooden structure also built by amateur aviators using a cottage industry method. The glider was multipurpose, used for learning to fly, training, competitive flying and performing basic aerobatic figures. More than 5,000 copies were built, and to this day you can admire this magnificent construction in our skies. Every 2 years, rallies of these amazing gliders, legends of aviation, are organized in Jeżów Sudecki. Therefore, we are proud that the model we offer was also created in Jeżów Sudecki.

And, what this glider looks like in flight, see the video:
