What is the model ?
If you've been dreaming of flying since you were a child, but you're unlikely to get into flight school, don't be in a hurry to throw your helmet and flight goggles in the garbage. Following your dreams, UGEARS is floating higher and higher and offers not one, but two aviation models in one "Aviator" kit. The kit consists of three modules: an airplane, a helicopter and a main control panel.
The mechanical model "Aviator" is made of high-quality plywood, which has been tested by European laboratories and is used, among others, in the production of children's furniture. The kit contains all the components necessary for assembly. The highest quality of the elements is guaranteed by the laser cutting method.
Inside the package you will find plywood panels, from which you just need to remove the finished elements and assemble the finished model from them. You will need neither glue nor any special tools. Assembling the model is done on the basis of detailed instructions with drawings made in Polish and 10 other languages.
Design
Controlling an airplane developing high speed requires some skill. This miniature model is built based on an aerodynamic biplane scheme with struts and tendons and a five-piston air-cooled rotary engine. Mastering the science of flying and controlling this unruly bird is not an easy task - it may take several flying hours. But they will be hours of unforgettable experience! In addition, after a short practice with a yielding and comfortable helicopter, you will gain the necessary experience and have the base skills.
How does it work ?
The kit consists of three modules: aircraft, helicopter and main control panel. Choose a flying craft, mount it on the stick - and you can take off! If you're a beginner pilot, it's worth starting with the helicopter, which is easier to control than an airplane, but no less interesting. The helicopter has a cockpit with an opening door, a three-blade propeller, a lifting rotor.
UGEARS miniature models are as fascinating and interesting as ever, but the main module of the set is the control panel - a complicated device equipped with a high-speed motor, which drives the rotary motion of the flying ship with a counterweight through a tower with a control disc. Control is provided by levers:
- the steering wheel with the help of the control disc adjusts the angle of roll and longitudinal sway of the flying ship;
- the engine control stick (DSS) regulates the engine speed determining the speed of the ship.
In addition, to ensure proper operation of the control disc, the control panel is equipped with a fine manual adjustment system.
After assembling all three modules and installing the model on the stick, you can finally stretch the wings and start the engine. The maximum screwing of the model - is 25 half-turns of the valve. Put your left hand on the DSS, your right hand on the control wheel, with the cordial and middle fingers of your left hand lift up the position lock of the DSS and with a smooth forward motion launch the pilot model.
